If you are looking for a simple yet effective meditation to start a daily practice with, we recommend the Heart harmonising meditation presented in the Heart or Alte-i-aa Chakra blog post.
If you are looking for more meditations by The Sirians we think you will enjoy exploring the Sirian Chakra Series starting with the Anchor or La-e-ia Chakra.
This is The Sirians! We are delighted to be returning with another “letter” or transmission. In this transmission, we will be discussing meditation; what is meditation, how it is used, why it is important that you engage with a meditation practice and how this meditation practice connects with everything that we have shared with you so far on the chakras, on the energy centres of the body. Let us begin!
The word “meditation” is well known to all of you dear Readers, but not all of you have the same understanding of it nor should you. There are many ways one can meditate. There are many practices that can offer the effect of meditation. But what is meditation and why is it necessary to practise it? The first step to meditating is accepting that you are greater than your physical body, that in fact, you are not some kind of robot randomly walking on Earth who just happens to have flesh on it and random things happen to it and your thoughts and hearts have no impact. You need to accept that you are greater than your physicality, you need to accept that you indeed exist in multiple planes, that you indeed exist in multiple dimensions, that what you see with your eyes is equally important to what you do not see, that what you do not see has an even greater impact on You that what you do see. So, that is the first concept that one must be comfortable with. The other aspect important to meditating is to accept responsibility for your well-being, to accept responsibility for your manifestations. Energy comes first, manifestations come second, the moment all of you accept this, is the moment you realise you can take proactive action not only to guide your manifestations and as a consequence your life towards the direction of your choosing but also to allow things to unfold in the most harmonious, easy way for you.
A meditation practice allows you therefore to peacefully and respectfully isolate yourself from the energetic imprints of other beings around you and to spend some time with yourself, spend some time with your consciousness, spend some time observing your body, observing your mind and getting close, so to speak, to the field of energy that surrounds everything, that connects everything to each other and ultimately leads to Source. To meditate means to spend some time with yourself. For us, that is the basic definition and if there is one concept that you take away with you from this transmission we would very much hope it is this; meditation is spending some quality time with yourself, your whole self, your physical, your emotional, your mental and all the other planes of your existence that we will be discussing in other transmissions as well. The stereotypical image that most Earth humans imagine when they think of meditation is a person sitting on the ground cross- legged with eyes closed. We do not think that is necessary and for some of you that specific position would be uncomfortable, but we do recommend for your meditation practice to not do it lying down.
Given that you are connecting with all aspects of yourself, all aspects of your physical self and all aspects of your mental and emotional self we think it is optimal for you to meditate while keeping your nervous system semi-activated. That means sitting down so your body and muscular system is resting but sitting with your spine upright so that your brain knows that it needs to be somewhat alert and that the meditative state is indeed separate from the sleep state. So, we do recommend you meditate sitting comfortably on a chair with your feet firmly on the ground and your spine upright. You can position your hands on your legs for ease and stability. You can position them facing upwards or with the palms facing downwards on your legs. The most important aspect of this comfortable sitting position is that you are relaxed, comfortable but very clearly not in a position that is conducive to sleep; the spine must be upright, the nervous system must be switched on, activated but calm.
There are many approaches to meditation. We are aware of many meditation practices and our channel here has experimented with several approaches herself. For those of you that are beginners in meditation, we would wholeheartedly recommend guided meditation with music calibrated to certain frequencies that helps entrench your brain waves and sooth your nervous system. We also recommend doing meditations where you practise your focus, doing convergent meditations and divergent meditations. For example, a convergent meditation is when you focus on a specific area of your body, on your chakras, on say your Anchor chakra and you visualise the magnificent cord extending beneath you and embedding into the Earth and imagining the magnificent sphere rotating within the star formation of your anchor chakra; this is a convergent meditation and it directs your consciousness and hence energy into a specific area. This is a marvellous practice for you to train your attention and therefore your consciousness to be in an area in a focused yet calm manner. All the meditations and visualisations we provided you in our prior Sirian chakra series are indeed convergent meditations.
Another style of meditation is the so-called divergent meditation. This meditation is conducive to the more advanced practitioners amongst you and it involves you essentially connecting with the astral aspect of your body so the etheric aspect of you and essentially disconnecting from your body, leaving your body and losing yourself into the infinite field of energy that surrounds you. We are aware of the terminology that is used in your popular culture, and we have seen this termed as the “quantum field”, as the “ether” and other names. We say, use any label that you enjoy. The important thing to note with the divergent meditation is that you essentially recognise that you are greater than your body and that you are willing to temporarily remove your consciousness and your attention away from your body and direct it into a higher place of existence. Your body is very safe, comfortably and peacefully sitting on the chair and waiting for You to come back and embody it. That is the divergent meditation we suggest to the most advanced practitioners among you, it is a wonderful practice to do in the beginning of your day to clear your mind and visualise.
Both convergent and divergent approaches to meditation are of immense value and bring distinct benefits. What you are practising is relating to your physicality from a higher vantage point. You are saying “I am consciousness, me, the I, I am consciousness, and I choose to observe my own physical vessel in this manner” or “I choose for now to leave my physical vessel in this manner, and I will return when I see fit”. By directing your consciousness in this way and interacting with your physical vessel in this way you are giving a signal to your physical body that it is safe for it to accept instructions, it is safe for it to accept higher energies, it is safe for it to be calm. You create a space for the physical body to heal itself; to regulate itself and you also provide an immense opportunity for your heart centre to be in charge. Whenever you engage in any meditation practice, whether that is convergent or divergent it does not matter, if you do it right and it is very easy to do it right, your heart entrenches, stabilises and harmonises all the other chakras or energy centres of your body. Then, the nervous system is allowed to do what is primarily intended to do which is to Heal and Stabilise you.
Another way to approach meditation is the inquisitive style of meditation. That is arguably the most challenging for most physical beings not only on the Earth-plane but on other physical planes of existence on other planets, for it forces you to connect with your thoughts, your feelings, your memories, connect with trauma. We do not believe it is conducive for you to relive and rethink the trauma if you have experienced trauma of any kind. Reliving the experience is just doing more damage. What this inquisitive style of meditation offers is the opportunity to consciously soothe yourself and give instructions to your body that you are safe as you feel the uncomfortable feelings. So, as you feel the uncomfortable feeling, as you feel your body having tension, having reactions at certain points, that is the moment when you sooth, when you say to your nervous system “I am here, and I am safe and I am healing myself”. Inquisitive meditation is an extremely valuable tool for introspection.
We would recommend you start practising with convergent meditations for that will easily train you to focus your mind in specific areas. As you practise convergent meditation, and all the visualisations we have provided in our Sirian chakra series are wonderful tools for you to do that, we always recommend putting your left hand on your Heart chakra and your right hand on the location that you are visualising. The moment you place your hand somewhere, immediately your consciousness and therefore energy is drawn to that place. That is a wonderful technique; You are effectively instructing your nervous system to direct your mental and emotional energy to that location. When you are comfortable with the convergent meditation, and you can hold your focus for good amounts of time without being distracted by your own thoughts then we suggest you move on to more divergent meditations. We know that many of the readers of these messages have experimented with various meditation forms, but we are here to encourage you to consciously connect and practise and experiment until you find something that is suitable for you.
You can also achieve a somewhat similar effect to meditation by simply doing something that you enjoy; getting lost in a wonderful book or admiring a wonderful landscape or simply closing your eyes and petting your pet companion, these can be wonderful meditative experiences and can be good starting points. We always recommend blending your consciousness with your meditation; meditate with purpose, meditate with intent. Meditation is a powerful tool. By engaging in meditation, you are demonstrating that you are aware of the fulness of your beingness, of the power of your consciousness and that you are willing to play with it, to experiment with it and focus your consciousness where it needs to be, like a laser beam. Meditation is a powerful tool. Use it for manifestation, use it for healing, use it to connect with yourself. You cannot meditate the wrong way; this is not something you can get wrong dear Readers. We encourage you to practise with patience and loving care for yourself. As you practise, and you live your life demonstrating you are fully aware over the fullness of your beingness then it will be easier for you to manifest, it will be easier for you to see what needs to be seen and cleared, to receive guidance and to create space in which you ask questions to your Guides and receive hints and intuitive hits from your Guides.
Meditation is truly the bridge between your physicality and your consciousness. You do not need to spend a lot of your linear time on it. Start small and build up accordingly. For a complete regiment, we recommend 10-20 minutes of divergent meditation in the morning with the intent to visualise, with the intent to affirm and ask for guidance and then we recommend 10-20 minutes of convergent meditation, in the evening; healing work on your body, connecting with your chakras, connecting with different parts of your physical body and visualising white healing light, sending love to your body and breathing calmly, soothing your body and clearing your energy field from the day. These are wonderful practices, powerful tools that not only demonstrate that you love and honour yourself, but you also are on the leading edge, that you are in charge of yourself, that you are in charge of your life, that you are in charge of your manifestations as indeed appropriate.
It has been a pleasure connecting with you again. This is The Sirians!
